Final edit of the first music video for the Japanese Pop band Soul Xplosion (SXP), their first song "My Road" lessons learnt from making my first music video for a japanese band. 1 always do 2 or 3 full runs of the song from different angles 2 be careful of the white balance 3 get singer to sing the songs and never mime (helps in the editing process) 4 have camera sound sensitivity set to low 5 have the singer sing the song with the song inthe background ( to keep his timing correct) 6 any static shots use a tripod 7 be careful of any accidental appearances of other people 8 lable shots very carefully and also the edits clearly 9 for b video shots no less than 2 mins in lenght (can cut 30s of each end) 10 have lead singer singing towards the camera all video was recored with the Canon S2is digital camera. edited on windows movie maker and adobe premier elements 11 prepare for a long time editing 12 lighting is very important.
